The courses are based in our chalet in the French Alps in the village of St Gervais. The chalet can sleep up to eight people but we can only accommodate 4 cooks but the others are more than welcome to come and enjoy the chalet and its surrounding activities.
We offer a range of residential courses aimed at all levels of kitchen skills from the complete beginner to the avid amateur.
A maximum of four students per course, partners are more than welcome as the chalet Sleeps eight comfortably.
The courses are run over a long weekend commencing the Friday morning and finishing Sunday late afternoon.
What is included in the price?
The price per student for the weekend is 600 Euros
The price per partner (taster) half board is 300 Euros
All food and accommodation soft drinks and wine with the meals and of course all tuition.
A full day dedicated to improving your skill and confidence in the kitchen.
Basic Survival... This weekend is designed for those of you that your cooking skills cover opening the packet and putting in the oven. The aim is to give you good basic skills and show you that is possible to create a healthy meal quickly and easily without using every pan in the kitchen.
DIY Design your own course. If there is something you really want to try or have always had difficulty with and it never comes out looking like the picture
Easy entertaining This weekend is dedicated to the host or hostess with little time and who would like to create wonderful meals without hours of preparation.
Vegetarian... we have created this weekend course as more and more people are choosing to eat less meat or have friends that do so and need a little help in how to make vegetables interesting.
Chalet staff training This is a five day residential course designed for people wanting to do a winter season. With a maximum of six students, the course covers menu planning, budgeting and basic cookery skills. There is also a health and hygiene certificate included.
